After deciding to upgrade our old camera we did a bit of research and decided to go with the Lumix TZ6 and we weren’t disappointed. It’s easy to use and to switch through the different modes, the LCD screen is a good size and the ability to change the brightness on it was useful. The image quality is excellent, especially when using the right mode for the right scene, and the quality of the video recording is pretty good too (obviously not as good as an actual camcorder but very good nonetheless). Only downside for me is that it’s a little on the heavy side but it was small enough (without a case) to fit inside my tiny handbag for evenings out!

I bought this camers for a holiday on Africa with the expectation of being able to photograph animals at long distance. It matched these requirements perfectly, even the video feature work better than expected.

Pros: Does more than most people will ever need from a camera. Just leave it set on auto and snap away. This camera does exactly what it says on the tin!
Cons: One teensy weensy thing missing from a perfect product, a view finder. Still you can’t have everything in life. Can’t see the point of paying more for the video version either.

Bought this to replace an earlier model that i lost and was lost without.Very easy to use but you can make it more complicated if you wish.Would recommend a digi card. Fantastic zoom for the pri and some lovely snaps right from the start.

Have bought this camera as a replacement for my girlfriend’s IXUS. chosen because of the optical zoom power and features. Still just a happy snapper camera, but colours and sharpness have been great and the features we have used so far are intuitive and responsive. The zoom mechanism is a little flimsy feeling and not as sensitive as you would like though.
overall, excellent package though.
